Finding a new groove

It’s amazing as I get older how much I crave the routine that I used to shun as a younger woman.  I used to be all about the random craziness of life, no plan, just go with the flow!  I bragged about writing entire books without a plot planned out or an outline.  Fly by the seat of my pants was my motto, and I loved it!

Getting back in my groove

Now, it’s a different story.  Oh no, not with my writing, or my blogging!  Those things I still love having a little spontaneity to, but with my daily routine I want to know exactly where things are going and when they’re going there.

Over the course of the last week or so my daily routine has altered drastically!  I’m working again, yay!  It’s a two-week trial hire, yay!  I really love what I’m doing, yay!  I hope they love me, too!

I’m starting to get back into the routine of having a regular job.  I’m lucky, I know that, I work from home and I set my own hours (for the most part) but to successfully work from home you need structure, and you need discipline and not working for just a month or so had really let mine slide.  I’m so glad to have the routine back in my life and so glad to be putting my knowledge and passion for social media to work with a new team who are fun and fabulous!

Don’t worry, as soon as the two-week-trial stuff is behind me I will be back, naming names and telling you where you can find me.  Until it’s official, I do not want to jinx it though so I’m keeping it under my hat (and I don’t even wear hats!).

In the meantime I can let you know that you can now find me as a regular contributor at Felicity Huffman’s What The Flicka? site in addition to my weekly post on MommyHotSpot.  Turns out that whole WriterMom moniker is accurate after all!

How exciting…and mysterious. Can’t wait to find out all about it. Clearly you love it, so that’s really all that matters. Congrats!
