I first did a review of the products from The Bouqs a few months ago, I received some BEAUTIFUL roses and my post has gotten quite a bit of replies–some good, some not so good! So when Adam, the marketing head honcho from The Bouqs, asked me if I would consider doing a second product review for them I had two thoughts.
- Free flowers–sign me up
- Let’s do something a little different this time!
So I asked Adam if he would let me interview him for my post, and for some mysterious reason he said yes! So, here are the questions I got to ask him and his answers:
Q1: How is The Bouqs different from other flower delivery companies?
We cut only what we sell. Other flower companies have their flowers sitting in a dingy warehouse for up to two weeks, while The Bouqs cuts your flowers on the day you order. This means you get flowers from the side of a volcano only days after it has been cut, and they last for up to three weeks! Our farms also provide living wages, childcare, healthcare, and adult education. You can feel good about shopping The Bouqs Company’s flowers.
Q2: How does the pricing and quality at The Bouqs differ from other companies that readers may be more familiar with?
First, The Bouqs has no hidden fees. All of our Bouqs start at $40 flat with free shipping. Other flower companies will say that their flowers are $39.99, only to add on care charges and shipping charges that bring the total price up to almost $100! With The Bouqs, you don’t have to worry that you are going to be charged a hidden fee or for a vase and chocolates that you don’t want.
Second, our flowers come from the side of an awesome volcano. Seriously. We deliver our Volcano stems from the equator,10,000 feet above sea level, which means one thing: sun. And more sun means more color. These Bouqs are fed by pure volcanic snow melt and mineral-rich, ph-balanced soil.
Q3: What options do customers have if, for some reason, they’re not 100% satisfied with their delivery when it arrives?
The Bouqs offers a Happiness Guarantee that covers everything. If we don’t deliver by the day scheduled, we will provide a free replacement. If you are unhappy with the quality and send us a picture within three days, we will provide a free replacement. If your flowers do not last more than 3 days, we will prove a free replacement. If we mess up and ship you the wrong Bouq, we will provide a free replacement. The Happiness Guarantee covers everything so that every customer is 100% happy.
Q4: On average how many orders do you receive and deliver (this can be a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly number whatever you feel comfortable with)
Well, we’d love to tell you the exact number… we are so proud of our growth since launching our business in late 2012. However, as a private company, we don’t disclose that information. What I can tell you is that we are going to be on ABC’s Shark Tank on May 2nd at 9pm. So the growth and traction we’ve achieved in a short time we fully expect to continue to bloom upwards.
Q5: Are you offering any Mother’s Day specials?
We are currently offering 24 roses for $50, and if you order for an early delivery of May 7th or 8th, we will give you $5 store credit!
Q6: If people were to only hear one thing about The Bouqs, what would you want that one thing to be?
Flowers, volcano, fresh, simple, FREE SHIPPING always, awesome in general.
Q7: What is your favorite flower?
It would have to be our beautiful Desperado Bouq of pink roses and purple dianthus.
Clearly Adam made a good choice for his favorite!
Now on to my review. As I said at the beginning of my post I have done a review post for The Bouqs before, I ordered a bouquet of roses and had a great experience with them as my post reflects. There are a LOT of comments on that post, and not everyone has had as good of experience as I did. For that reason, and because I wanted to try something other than roses this time, I ordered a completely different bouquet this time.
The flowers arrived carefully wrapped and protected just as they did last time, by Fed Ex. They actually arrived a day before my scheduled delivery date so I was surprised! I carefully removed them from the packaging and put them in a vase. It’s nice to get to watch them open and not have them arrive at their peak and just watch them wilt.
Here’s a picture of my bouquet that has been opening for three days now, as you can see they’re just now about halfway open. It’s been really neat to get to watch them open as opposed to receiving them already at their peak and watch them wilt within a few days. As I said, this is after day 3 and they’re not yet at their peak!
As I said before, this post is a review of my experience using The Bouqs, your own experience may be different. I was not compensated in any way for this post other than a free bouquet of flowers, this post does contain affiliate links and if you choose to click through and make a purchase I would receive a small percentage referral fee.
